He specializes in the design, implementation, and audit of robust Process Safety Management (PSM) systems for high hazard industries. His expertise is rooted in a risk based engineering approach, where he spearheads complex hazard identification studies (HAZOP, HAZID), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assignment and verification to prevent major accident events. He is proficient in applying quantitative risk assessment (QRA) methodologies to model consequences and quantify risks, informing critical decision making for projects involving hydrogen, ammonia, and cryogenic processes.
As a consultant, he partners with client leadership to embed a strong process safety culture, overseeing Management of Change (MOC), Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), and incident investigation using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to drive continuous improvement. His hands-on experience supporting the design and pre-commissioning of major capital projects, including the NEOM Green Hydrogen facility, ensures his PSM guidance is grounded in practical, real-world insight and aligned with operational excellence—safeguarding assets, personnel, and the environment.
