Dr. H.M. Leith is the Global Manager, Security Services at AcuTech. He has over 45 years of diverse national/international risk management experience, with extensive expertise in the commercial energy and governmental sectors. An expert in petrochemical, nuclear, executive venue, and maritime security; encompassing vulnerability analysis and risk management, executive protection, cyber security, fiscal surety, security management systems, audit, program management, administration, training, and policy/ procedure development. Has a comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging security requirements, ProForce evaluation, intelligence analysis, personnel surety, computer, and industrial control system security, & intrusion detection system design. Internationally recognized authority and author on risk assessment, cyber security, emergency response, crisis management, incident mitigation, and countermeasures planning. Certified Protection Professional, security clearances, CVI certified, & TWIC.
Dr. Leith’s areas of specialization include security risk assessment (SRA), program management, training and media development, and emergency planning.
Dr. Leith’s has conducted over 700 critical facility Security Risk Assessments worldwide. He is an international instructor that has conducted security training in more than 20 countries.
He is the coauthor/developer of multiple government and industry risk assessment methodologies; working with Sandia National Laboratory, the American Chemistry Council, the Center of Chemical Process Safety, the American Petroleum Institute, and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Dr. Leith is the co-developer of the DOE Central Training Academy (CTA) curriculum for Fundamentals of Vulnerability Assessment and the Facility Survey Team Leader courses. Dr. Leith is the co-author of the ANSI/API Standard 789 Security Risk Assessment Methodology for the Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry (2013).
